  • Details: Amaryl belongs to a group of medicines called sulfonylureas. Amaryl works by increasing the amount of insulin released from the pancreas. The insulin then lowers the blood sugar level.
  • Benefits: Amaryl is used to treat a certain type of diabetes (type 2 diabetes mellitus) when diet, physical exercise and weight reduction alone have not been able to control the blood sugar levels.
  • Instructions for use: * Take the medication exactly as prescribed by a doctor. * Take the tablet immediately before or with the main meal of the day (breakfast). * Swallow the tablet with at least half a glass of water. * Do not crush or chew the tablet.
