  • Product Description: Hyzaar 50mg/12.5mg is a combination of an angiotensin ll receptor antagonist (losartan) and a diuretic (hydrochlorothiazide). It is used to treat essential hypertension.
  • Details: Angiotensin ll is a substance produced in the body which causes blood vessels to tighten, thus increasing the blood pressure. Losartan blocks the effect of angiotensin ll so that the blood vessels relax, thus lowering the blood pressure. Hydrochlorothiazide reduces the amount of sodium chloride and water in the body by increasing urine output, which also helps in lowering the blood pressure.
  • Benefits: Hyzaar 50mg/12.5mg is indicated for the treatment of high blood pressure.
