  • Product Description: No-uric (allopurinol) is an inhibitor of xanthine oxidase which reduces uric acid production by inhibiting biochemical reactions preceding its formation. This results in the reduction of urate and uric acid concentrations in plasma and urine.
  • Details: No-uric (allopurinol) is an inhibitor of xanthine oxidase, the enzyme responsible for the conversion of hypoxanthine to xanthine and of xanthine to uric acid, the end product of purine metabolism. Therefore, it reduces uric acid production by inhibiting biochemical reactions preceding its formation. This results in the reduction of urate and uric acid concentrations in plasma and urine.
  • Benefits: No-uric is indicated in the treatment of: * Gout. * Primary or secondary to hyperuricemia: acute attacks, trophi, joint destruction, uric acid lithiasis, or nephropathy. * Hyperuricemia secondary to malignancies: leukaemia, lymphoma. * Prevention of acute gouty attacks. * Prevention of uric acid nephropathy during chemotherapy. * Recurrent calcium oxalate calculi in presence of hyperuricosuria.
